y Los Güeros
This faux Texan’s riding in from his home base Schaffhausen where he’s responsible for that metropolis’ entire underground scene. But giving in to a serious case of home sickness for the whole world, he took off like a cyclone spinning around the world. Among many stops you could hear him applying his craft in Japan in a sold-out club with more than a dozen capacity. With the fantastic support of a local band of first rate musicians and harmonizing with them immediately like they were all from Texas, warning the whooping audience «of strong language» in his songs while informing them where they could buy his shirts on the way out. The hit «I lost my heart between your legs in Osaka» cemented his everlasting fame as a heartbreaker as well.
Larry now resides in Salami/TX/ZH, he calls himself a milkandvodka man and explains his music as «Advance International Country Trash», or AICT. This guy with the oddball charm picked our holy hall, and we let him do it, to introduce his newest work the studio album «I, Import-Export Mariachi». He hot-damn raises the roof with the help of the Puta Madre Brothers and the heart wrenching masterpiece was recorded in four different continents with songs in four different idioms with just a hint of his seductive accent. The omnipresent Olifir M. Guz produced and it features songs like the one about the amok running «Gasoline Man», the vegetarian «Marianne» and a tune about the former mayor of Berlin, the polar bear puppy «Knut» (R.I.P.). Larry will be here with his band of Tex-Mex experts Tom Combo on cello, David McMilhouse on sax, Franco Hero on bass and Jurgo Plussovac on drums. Well on the way to immortality, they’ll be giving the songs of Hank Williams, Adam Green, Lee Hazelwood, Ween a.o. a whole new lease on life. Hit it, Larry!
