oh what a night...
Princessin Hans (DE)
This is going to be an outrageously queer and rather gay night, courtesy of singer Hans Kellett and pianist Juerg Hochapfel, two characters that could have sashayed right out of the pages of Christopher Isherwood's «Berlin Stories», upgraded by a few decades.
They're infamous in Berlin's punk-literary circles and cabaret scene and their themes, aside from being mainly about queer life, everybody's,  they ruminate and titillate about celebrity and identity and it's all great raunchy fun no matter where you're coming from.
Because, yes, absolutely nothing's sacred, they also delight in creating serious havoc by stomping on any musical form and format with hilarious results and they're passionate live performers who's refreshing material leans on Chanson, Jazz, Punk and gains more immediacy through their scandalous improvisation. You can hear that clearly in their debut «Because You Wouldn't Play Tennis With Freddy» and it led to them selling out any venue all over Europe. Moreover, they also can be savoured on film, the doc by Jackie Baier, «Julia» and yours truly Hans Kellett wrote the script for the soon to be produced «Jan's Body» and to be directed by Jasco Viefhues. In addition, they wrecked the Moulin Rouge in Paris whilst the press jubilated «...the perfect mix between Pamela Anderson and Rasputin.»
So, come on in to Le Cage au Folle on the Mississihl, all of you Gays, Straights or Confused, Poofters, Muffdivers and Sappho Sisters, Cranberries and Barfuesser, Hustlers and Ragmunchers, Diesel Dykes, Fruits and Lezzies, Transvestites and Hermaphrodites and Hans and Heidi. Jawoll, Herr Issevoo.
