Criminally insane sound from the windy city.

oh what a night...
The Great Crusades (USA)
Out of Chicago come the sharpest dressers ever since Al Capone tried to pull one over on Elliott Ness – even in the suit department. But we all know who came out ahead in the final analysis on that one, while the other was invited to trade in for some natty prison garb.

It’s their G-men suits but what’s more, it’s their style of music. And The Great Crusades have never been anything less than a straight-up and in-your-face friggin’ great live rock band. They’ll admit having been inspired somewhat by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, but their touring record’s clear: Gary Moore, The Scorpions, Steve Wynn, The Leningrad Cowboys, 16 Horsepower a.o. heavy hitters. Even vampires are drooling over them and find them bloody appetizing, so to speak: True Blood, that bloodthirsty TV saga, copped a couple of their songs for the soundtrack of its fourth installment.

Grapevine rumour has it, TGC’s next album, «Thieves of Chicago», is coming hot of the press right as we speak. And maybe it’s possible they can let you have a gander when they’re here. That way, you’ll get a taste of what makes their sound so criminally insane: One big reason, and not to spill all them beans,  has to be the guys’ve been musically chained together 16 years! Their mugshots show Brian Krumm on vocals & guitar, Brian Hunt on bass, Brian Leach on guitar & keyboard and Christian Moder on drums & keyboards.

This quartet’s coming in from the windy city to our windswept island for one of their notorious hard-rocking shows that, simply put, will rumple your suits and knock the friggin’ wind right out of all of you.
